Sterling High School
Crimestoppers

The Sterling High School Crimestoppers Program was started with $1000 dollars seed money donated by Whiteside County Crimestoppers and Sterling High School. Student board members have since raised several hundred dollars through school fundraisers. Under the mentoring of Sterling P.D. School Resource Officer Mike Henry it appears that the program has really taken off. Hats off to the 12 student board members!

A Tribute to Zane Ryan

Zane was a 3 1/2 year member of the SHS Crimestoppers program and the president this year. He moved easily among the various cliques at the school and pulled students into the Crimestoppers program. School Resource Officer Jeff Mohr, coordinator of the program, said about Zane "...he was always looking to something much more important, helping students and helping them feel safe."
Thank you Zane for your care and dedication. You will be missed.........
